Realm Shift is a fast-paced, top-down twin-stick arcade survival game where you fight off endless waves of hostile forces across different dimensions. Built with smooth 2D canvas graphics and dynamic synthesized sound effects, it blends classic arcade shooter mechanics with a modern multi-theme selection system.

🕹️ Core Gameplay Loop

• Movement & Aiming: Navigate fluidly around the arena using WASD to dodge incoming hazards while aiming with your Mouse or Arrow Keys.
• Combat & Strategy: Attack using left-click or the Tab key. You can swap between 4 distinct weapons/spells on the fly using keys 1–4 or the scroll wheel to adapt to different enemy types.
• Game Modes:
  • 🌊 Wave Mode: Fight through structured, escalating waves of enemies with intermissions between rounds to regain your footing.
  • ♾️ Endless Mode: Face a relentless, endlessly spawning horde that slowly ramps up in speed and difficulty until your health runs out.

Before jumping into the action, you can customize the entire game's visual style, enemy roster, audio profile, and backdrop directly from the main menu:

1. 🧟 Zombie Apocalypse: Battle classic Walkers, fast Runners, heavy Tanks, and ranged Spitters with pistols, shotguns, machine guns, and lasers.
2. 🧚 Enchanted Forest: Play as a winged fairy throwing Sparkle Bolts, Burst Blooms, Arcane Streams, and Starlight Beams at corrupted forest spirits on an animated forest floor.
3. 🚀 Cyberpunk Rebellion: Blast security drones and heavy mechs with plasma spreaders and railgun cannons across a neon grid.
4. 🌌 Deep Sea Trench: Command a mini-sub fighting abyssal sea creatures in dark ocean waters using sonar pulses and torpedoes.
5. 🤠 Wild West Showdown: Fend off outlaws and dynamite fiends with six-shooters, gatling guns, and sniper rifles in a dusty desert setting.
6. 🧙 Dungeon Crawl: Cast fireballs, frost cones, and lightning bolts against slimes, skeletons, and stone golems in dark stone ruins.
7. 🐝 Bug Hive Defense: Defend the hive using stinger darts, honey jets, and pollen bursts against swarming ants, wasps, and beetles.

⚡ Power-Up Drops

Defeated enemies occasionally drop glowing magical or technological power-ups that can turn the tide of battle:

• 🌸 / 🔋 Health Pickup: Restores a chunk of player health.
• ⭐ / 💣 Screen Nuke: Immediately detonates and purges all enemies currently on screen, awarding full score points.
• ✨ / ⚡ Rapid Fire: Overclocks your weapon, cutting your firing cooldown dramatically for a limited time.
